Tonight's NFL matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints is far from the showdown NFL executives expected when drawing up the schedule earlier this year.
Former Falcons QB Michael Vick was just sentenced to 23 months in prison earlier today.
In Vick's absence, the Falcons will start its 3rd quarterback of the year Chris Redman. Chris Redman was out of the league for 3 seasons and was actually selling insurance last year. Redman does have one advantage, he played for coach Bobby Petrino at Louisville.
"I feel real relaxed because he's calling plays," Chris Redman says. "Obviously, the system has changed a lot since we were at Louisville. But I still feel like it fits me well."
On the New Orleans Saints side, they too will be without one of their stars, running back Reggie Bush. Bush is out with a partially torn left knee ligament and could be out for the rest of the season.
